The box surface should be smooth and free of burrs, with clear, standardized markings and no obvious scratches or deformation; metal casings should show no signs of rust, while plastic casings should be free of cracks or signs of embrittlement.
Door latches and hinges should operate smoothly without disengaging spontaneously after locking; electrode contacts should possess sufficient elasticity, with a rebound travel of at least 5mm.
Verification of Core Performance Indicators
Structural Strength: Steel or aluminum alloy casings must meet a bottom compressive strength of ≥10 GPa and comply with impact resistance standards, ensuring they do not easily deform upon minor impact.
Sealing and Protection: Battery boxes intended for outdoor use must meet an IP67 (or higher) protection rating; sealing gaskets should be resistant to oil and temperature extremes, with no gaps allowing for water ingress.
Material Compliance: For motive power applications, priority should be given to materials such as DP780 (or higher grade) high-strength steel and 6000-series aluminum alloys to balance lightweight design with high strength, while ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
