Plastic Enclosures: Engineering plastics must meet UL94 V-0 flame retardancy standards; BDU housings typically use PBT material with a wall thickness of at least 2.0mm.
Wooden Transport Crates: Must possess valid IPPC fumigation certification; construction requires a hardwood frame and 18mm thick panels; fire-resistant linings must utilize compliant materials such as calcium silicate board.
Verification of Core Performance Indicators
Structural integrity must pass T6-level crush/impact tests; short-circuit withstand capability must comply with the IEC 61439-2 standard.
Weather resistance must meet operational requirements across a wide temperature range (-40°C to 85°C); anti-corrosion coatings are required for high-salinity coastal environments.
Insulation performance must meet standards; contact surfaces between metal fasteners and battery modules require insulation to prevent short-circuit risks.
Compliance Certification and Standards Check
New energy vehicle battery enclosures must comply with the new national standard GB 38031-2025 and pass mandatory tests such as bottom impact and thermal propagation.
Export products must meet regional regulations: EU products require CE and RoHS 2.0 certification; US products must meet the UL 9540 standard; and lithium battery transport packaging must comply with UN 38.3 testing requirements.
